Orlando is the theme park capital of the world. With over ten main theme parks and an abundance of other sources of entertainment, there is almost an endless supply of thing to do in this one city alone. Assuming you already know of the grandeur of the main theme parks at Disney World and Universal, we’re going to bypass all that greatness and give you a list of things to do in Orlando that you may never have heard of. Themed Events at SeaWorld
Some of us who have annual passes to SeaWorld actually don’t even go to spend the day there. Nope, not ever. We use our passes to experience Sea World during their outlandish themed events. And boy, do they know how to throw a party! Whether it be Halloween, Christmas, Weekends celebrations of the beautiful summer nights, you can find live entertainment, DJs, costumes, games, themed foods and even more beautiful Sea World shows. You also can enjoy the normal Sea World shows and exhibits with half of the crowd, the tourists are usually all gone by then, as they’ve spent the entire day there.
Discovery Cove
This truly is a place where dreams come true. How many times in your life will you actually have the opportunity to swim and frolic around with dolphins? Some of us never get closer than a view from a boat, and that’s if we’re lucky! Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort where the family can enjoy swimming with dolphins, snorkeling amongst thousands of tropical fish and stingrays, feeding exotic birds and relaxing on pristine beaches. There are no lines to deal with, unlimited food and beverages, and even a lazy river that you can float your worries away in.
Ripley’s Believe it or Not
Maybe the family is in need of something totally out of the ordinary. Perhaps a bit shocking, eye-popping or mind-boggling? We all could use a little stray from the norm. At Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, the array of weird will leave the entire family awe-struck. Experience interactive visual illusions, shrunken heads, vampire killing kits or pose with the tallest man in the world. We can almost guarantee you will leave amazed at this collection of oddities. It’s not often we are faced with the bizarre and mysterious right in front of our faces! And a little insider secret… beware of what you think may be a one-sided mirror! You have to wait until the very end of your visit to find out about this deception!
